We are really looking forward to meeting new faces and sharing a nice relaxing laid back weekend together full of fun and laughter...and maybe getting some work done along the way!

The following schedule is tentative.
Traveling to Des Moines from out of town? Or maybe you live in the area, but want to make this a proper weekend retreat and have a sleepover with friends in a comfy hotel. Either way, we have you covered.
A hotel room block has been reserved for knitXmidwest attendees at Hyatt Place Downtown Des Moines (418 6th Ave) with the discounted rate of $109 a night for a king or $119 a night for a double.
(Note - downtown Des Moines has eliminated free night/weekend street parking.)
Call 1-800-993-2451 to reserve rooms or make your reservation online at www.hyatt.com.
Hyatt Place is a contemporary hotel in the heart of downtown Des Moines within walking distance of several local dining/nightlife hot spots. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi internet access, Starbucks coffee and complimentary breakfast. Hyatt Place offers a complimentary shuttle to/from the airport as well as a 3-mile radius of the hotel. Valet Parking is $18 per day per vehicle with in-and-out privileges.
You are free to make lodging arrangements on your own, but Hyatt Place will serve as our event's lodging headquarters. Stay with friends and meet up with fellow knitters after hours for dinner or knitting in the hotel's lobby or bar area.
** The reservation cutoff date is October 4th, 2019. The number of rooms available is limited due to other events being held in the metro that weekend, so we encourage you to make your reservation right away to get the discounted rate. Any rooms not utilized in the block after October 4th will drop out of the block and go back into the hotel's inventory for sale to the general public.
