Traveling to Des Moines from out of town? Or maybe you live in the area, but want to make this a proper weekend retreat and have a sleepover with friends in a comfy hotel. Either way, we have you covered.
A sleeping room block has been reserved for knitXmidwest attendees at Hyatt Place Downtown Des Moines with the discounted rate of $109 for the night of Saturday, November 2nd.
Hyatt Place Downtown
418 6th Ave
Des Moines, IA
You may also make reservations over the phone by calling 1-800-993-2451 and mentioning the “Knitting Retreat block”
You are free to make lodging arrangements on your own, but Hyatt Place will serve as our event's lodging 'headquarters.' Stay with friends and meet up with fellow knitters after hours for dinner, drinks or more knitting in the hotel's gorgeous lobby or bar area. Hyatt Place is a contemporary hotel in the heart of downtown Des Moines, within walking distance of several local dining/nightlife hot spots. The hotel offers complimentary hotel-wide Wi-Fi Internet access.
** The reservation cutoff date is October 11th, 2013. The number of rooms available is very limited due to other events being held in the metro that weekend, so we encourage you to make your reservations right away to get the special discounted rate of $109. (If you know you will want to stay overnight, do not wait!) Any rooms not utilized in the block after October 11th will drop out of the block and go back into the hotel's inventory for sale to the general public.
